We enjoyed a bright and warm weekend exploring the region just north of Lisbon, along the coast between Peniche and Nazaré and some historic towns just inland from there, namely Óbidos and Batalha. We stayed overnight in Peniche after getting a taste of the International Chocolate Festival at Óbidos… OK, much more than a taste. Try going to a chocolate festival and resist eating chocolate!

It’s hard to believe how much we covered in just two days. Here’s a tiny preview while I organize the virtual stack of files.

  1. Congratulations for your passion about portuguese sceneries.
Let me suggest you an itinerary for your next trip: Start in Sardoal, pass to Tomar and stop in Constância. In this triangle you’ll also feel many emotions.
    All the best

    1. Thanks Luis, we’re fond of road trips and will take up your suggestion for a future itinerary. I’ve been wanting to visit Tomar after seeing some pictures. Obrigada!
