As I gear up for another birthday trip by researching, planning, etc., I’m reminded of past trips and how this whole birthday trip thing turned into an annual mission and why it’s become such a steadfast part of my calendar. I mean, I travel all year ’round, so why is it important to travel on my birthday? Because it’s a reminder that getting older is a privilege. I don’t dread birthdays, I anticipate them because I associate them with travel. I’m grateful for every time June 18 comes around and I am physically able to travel. It won’t always be like this.
Southern Iceland in a Super Jeep: Þórsmörk is a nature paradise situated in the south of Iceland between three glaciers: Mýrdalsjökull Glacier, Eyjafjallajökull Glacier and Tindfjallajökull Glacier.

Somewhere between Reykavik and Hafnarfjörður. One thing I noticed about the Icelandic ponies was how affectionate they are with each other.
