04 Nov 2009 Flashback to Philly

I was digging in the archives for something and came across some goodies from trips last year I barely had time to blog and only uploaded a few photos. Here’s one of some rollerskaters in Philadelphia when I was hanging out with Addie and meeting up with an old friend from Germany:

I posted a sunset shot in my photo site, also from that trip. The light was simply SUPERB that day!

Also, a flashback to a couple of weeks later at the Columbia County (New York state) fair over Labour Day Weekend last year with Siobhan and family:

Some people express surprise that I don’t intend to make photography my full-time job. You know one reason why not? Because I’d never have any time to photograph for fun. Don’t get me wrong, photography is fun, but the kind of photography that pays the bills is not typically what I post here. (In fact, most of what I get paid to shoot doesn’t go public at all, not because the clients wouldn’t allow it but because the photos wouldn’t interest the general public, only the clients.)
