We arrived after midnight, it’s sweltering hot in my apartment and I really should go to bed, but I can’t resist posting a few photos from the trip now that I’ve backed them all up.
Above: Eric shoves his noggin’ in the frame to demonstrate that La Banquise serves poutine as big as your head. These plates are REGULAR size, if you can believe it. There’s apparently a large size, but nobody at our table was brave enough to order it… what we did order:
Eric: poutine with sausage
Me: poutine with smoked meat
Nathalie and Donald: poutine with chicken and peas
The best thing is that La Banquise, which is insanely busy during “rush hour” times (i.e., after Last Call), is open 24 hours a day. Poutine can be had at any time, 25 different ways!
