Post-Phil’s, the Friday Night Crew introduced me to the cookie heaven that is Sweet Flour Bake Shop, on Bloor West between Jane and Runnymede.

I love cookies! I love when they come out of the oven all soft and warm. I prefer cookies over other desserts because they’re smaller and therefore you can have a tapas-style dessert spree if you so desire, if your belt still buckles after you eat at a place like Phil’s.
You can get the full scoop on the website about what’s on offer, but here’s a quick taster:
- you can custom build your cookies with choices of three different kinds of dough, plus mix-ins that include nuts, berries, and chunks of chocolate, toffee, what-have-you
- you can build cookie sandwiches with a variety of sweet spreads
- you can take home cookie dough and bake it whenever you like
- the cookies only take two minutes to bake!
- they’ve got organic Ontario milk and other beverages like coffee to accompany your cookies
Time for some pictures! I asked permission, and they gladly let me papparazzi my way around:
If you’re a cookie monster like me, you’ll love this place!

That place looks yummy! One funny thing I noticed though is that the sign for the Oatmeal Raisin cookies says “Maw’s Favorite” – not Favourite! Hahaha!
