Yesterday I suggested we take advantage of — fleetingly — brilliant weather in Toronto by going up the CN Tower to take in some views. I was last up there in July, tourguiding some Japanese tourists (friends of friends), and similar to my previous attempt in July 2005 with David, I had to psyche myself into looking down at the floor by peering through a camera viewfinder then taking it away. This time, however, I am happy to report I walked directly onto the floor, then looked down, no viewfinder assistance required. This is progress!
The photo above is my favourite glass floor picture yet — the motion blur at left and one foot on the glass is what makes this photo for me. We were very lucky yesterday: the tower is usually mobbed with tourists, but we had zero queues that day and two random people shared complimentary tickets with us at the ticket counter so it was all free!
