    I volunteered today to cover the afternoon while everyone was off doing Easter-ly things with their families, and after finishing at the house of dresses I gravitated towards the water to shoot around The Beaches. Interestingly, it’s been almost exactly a year to the day since the last time I shot in Ashbridges’ Bay Park.

    April 13, 2008: Tardy Spring

    I shot similar frames, too, but the difference today is that it was colder, windier, and this year I’m using a different camera, a different lens, and no polarising filter. If you’re wondering how much of a difference it makes to the photos, compare these with the post from a year ago.

  2. Good Grief, Not Again!

    The upper bulb’s blown again and warped the plastic, I think — I can’t get the bulb out. Same problem as last time. I had to be somewhere, so I dug out the OLD tail light assembly (which I thankfully didn’t throw out!) that has a warped opening, shoved a working bulb as close to it as possible and secured it with duct tape, and bob’s your uncle… a temporary solution which means I have a working left turn signal that’s a little weaker light source than the right signal but it’s very visible, even in broad daylight.

    Better than no turning signal, it’ll do for now until I can either a) get the old bulb out without breaking the tail light and still keep its shape to house a new bulb, or b) get another tail light from the junk yard.
