There are a few absolutes in this world, but ‘cold’ is apparently not one of them.
This morning it was snowing and a mess to drive in, but I eventually made it north of midtown to Natalia’s place for brunch without getting stuck or making contact with any other vehicles. Hooray! Getting out of the parking spot, however, was another story — my traction pieces were getting buried in the snow, the others tried to push me out, but in the end I shimmied my way back to the drivable part of the street. Fresh, wet snow made for slippery road conditions along the highways, so I kept it under 100 kms/hr on the 401 and stuck to the Collectors lanes.
After driving Nicole and Jose to the airport, it still hadn’t stopped snowing but I decided to take some photos along the lakeshore and see how long I’d last in the frigid weather. Apparently, frigid is a purely relative term, since there were joggers along the lakeshore and one of them made me gape at him by wearing only A T-SHIRT and nothing around his neck or on his head except for headphones. That’s hardcore!
