Ho Ho Ho Snow

Taken while I was warming up my car for the snow-filled drive home from a late dinner Tuesday night. I got home about 1am, and thankfully there weren’t many cars around at that time because I had to drive fairly slowly.
I was out meeting some people for the first time, people I’m going to be sharing a lakeside cottage with for a few days north of the city. What? An Ontario cottage? Me? The same person who makes fun of Torontonians and their cottage talk? Sheesh, I can hear the British Columbians calling me an Ontarian now, joining the ranks of those Toronto city-dwellers who invade the rest of the province on the weekends and clog up the freeways on Fridays and Sundays. I’m turning into a cliche!
The “cabin” (I can’t even say “cottage” anymore) isn’t a rustic one, it’s modern and new and even has a dishwasher, which is more than I can say for my own apartment. It accommodates up to eight people, and so far there are seven of us including me — I met three of the six others tonight — and we’re looking for an eighth person to come along. It’ll be fun! I’m going to lug ALL my camera equipment on this trip and see if I can shoot long exposures of stars streaking across the country sky. You might even see a shot of me in snowshoes!
