    NEWS FLASH: Air Canada Removes Second-Checked Bag Fee

    Oh Canada! Yay for your national airline! Air Canada announced today they would remove the second-checked bag fee of $25.

    Air Canada has also removed the fuel surcharge by factoring all fuel into the listed fare price, and I just got a broadcast email from WestJet saying they’ve done the same. However, Air Canada also announced last month that they are reducing fall and winter capacities and routes, so depending on where you live or where you plan to fly, the reduction in available air travel options may affect you more than these current announcements.

  3. The Wedding Shoes

    I have a few detail shots uploaded from Fancy and Rod’s wedding, but I must put the shoes on display first. If you know Fancy, you’ll know the shoes get top billing!

    When everyone started dinner, I snuck away with the wedding rings and took some photos in the bridal prep room. At first glance the shoes look black, but they’re actually a dark red. I processed this next photo below a little differently so you can see the shoe colour a bit better.

    Because of the stones’ weight and the slippery texture of the shoe strap, I couldn’t seem to get the rings to hang properly to make the stones viewable, so I had to content myself with this picture… at least I achieved my objective of combining the shoes with the rings somehow.
