Royal Wood

August 14, 2008 by Gail

When I first heard Ontario singer-songwriter Royal Wood live on CBC Radio some months ago, I was captivated. He was playing this song, “I’m So Glad” and I was convinced if that performance couldn’t soothe the savage beast, nothing could.

David would’ve loved this song.

Royal Wood is playing tomorrow tonight in my own neighbourhood and I’m debating whether or not to see him if there are any tickets left. I haven’t checked to see if the concert is sold out.

There’s something very classic and timeless about Wood that appeals to me, which is also shown in this video for his song “A Mirror Without”:

If you liked those two videos, you’ll also like “Juliet”:

I’m going to buy Wood’s 2007 release “A Good Enough Day” and listen to his voice until I fall asleep. Good night!
