“With or Without You” from “U2 Medley” by Doyle Dykes. Sungha Jung is 10 years old at this recording, believe it or not. You might be thinking “hey, anyone can learn one song really well”, but do a YouTube search and you’ll see many other uploaded songs played by Sungha, including this one — Eric Clapton/Sting/et al’s “It’s Probably Me” (one of my favourite songs):

WOW. I hope all this talent Sungha has gets channelled the right way; he has a bright future ahead of him.

hit snooze

Today (Sunday night) all the crazy hours of the past five days or so caught up with me and I had a five hour nap! I really needed it. The weather in Toronto the past couple of days has been incredible and the weekend was packed with activities! I’m still downloading photos from the memory cards.

I’ve taken a few pictures of some nice thank you notes from the past four days. Cards and notes and white board messages get lost and wiped off, so at least I’ve got them saved somewhere in picture form.

I found a card with a message inside on Wednesday morning:

A note from Rory and Marisol, who just finished the last semester of Rory’s degree in Vermont and are driving back to Phoenix, their current home base. Their future home base will be Mexico. They stayed with me a couple of nights (Monday and Tuesday), before getting up at the crack of dawn on Wednesday to make the drive to Chicago in one day. Garry and I took them to Chinatown on Monday night, where we had dinner, and then back around Queen Street, stopping at Nathan Phillips Square to take pictures of City Hall.
