Apparently the big explosion of cherry blossoms in High Park happened to be during the week I was too busy (and lazy) to get myself and my cameras over to shoot it. But last weekend I decided to plan nothing social and instead get some stuff done — including a visit to High Park to see what remained of the blossoms.

Spring also marks the start of wedding season, which means I’m busy learning the techniques used for wedding photography to prepare for three weddings I’m shooting this year: in Germany, Vancouver, and Toronto. I’ll be the principal photographer in the Canadian weddings.
The good weather brought the crowds to High Park, but I did manage to nab one photo with just a father and son that I really liked:
Last, but not least, a question for Mr. Woodchuck (this is for Helma, because she calls it a woodchuck rather than a groundhog):

I have a beautiful cherry tree in my yard – it’s one of the highlights of “Spring” in Seattle. (Spring, of course, in quotes because it’s still freezing here – I wore a turtleneck sweater today!!)
Well Gail, I am very sure the woodchuck coul chuck quite a bit of wood if he would put his mind to it. He does a terrific job on everything else in my garden.
