I have a minimum of 2 cats and a dog in the bathroom with me at all times. The other dog is right outside the door. He won't come in because he knows there is always a threat of a bath. The cats have their litter boxes in there so really, they own the room.

There is no privacy in there. Bath time for me is always fun because I have various animals come visit me to make sure I have enough bubbles and hot water.

Lori, I write in a blog nearly every day and I still write long comments!

But yes, you should start a blog if you enjoy writing. You can write about whatever you want, whenever you want.

Yeah for sure, sometimes I feel like Noah coming onto the Ark when I open the bathroom door and see them all sitting there.

When I leave the door open, they always insist on squishing in with me. Our toilet isn't very big so there's basically just enough room for us all.

There's NO privacy when you have pets :P

There's usually one cat there when you go into the bathroom. Thai in the night and morning, Floyd or Jane later in the day. Never Tiger though, strange. Must be a girl thing…

Gracious no, you're not alone with your pets following you into the bathroom. Actually, in between the time I read this until now I swung by the bathroom, laptop in hand, to get a drink and, of course, Abby (my Tuxedo cat) followed right along with me, jumping up on the counter to see what I was doing. She sleeps with me at night and when I get up to use the washroom she follows along, waits while I use the facilities, and then plods back to bed with me. Not sure what she thinks she's going to find in the bathroom with me at 3AM, but there she is sitting on the counter looking at me in the glow of the night light.

Our Lab is not immune to this phenomenon, either. While he's a little large (at 110 pounds he's a little large for most things in my house, but I digress...) to fit in our bathrooms, he does intrude if the door is not firmly latched. One push on the door with his nose has him firmly entrenched in the room with you, regardless of what activity you're engaged in. He often comes to the office with me and follows me everywhere there--including the bathroom.

Forget about closing the door! There's howling and crying and pathetic little paws under the door. The bathroom is a good place for getting attention, attacking the toilet paper roll, having a fight, rolling over and over, drinking shower water (Oscar), jump-attacking THE HAND (Dida), pushing items off the sink edge, checking on the squirrels from the window, knocking the soap into the bathtub, sleeping on the chair, competing for chair real estate, getting close to the air vent when it's cold, and yes- there's the STARING.

I was bad about putting the lid down till I got the cats. But given Franklin's total fascination with water, if the lid is left up, he'll be in there splashing around and making a mess if I don't put it down.

And yes, I suppose my first comment should have been more specific. When I step out of the shower, they are there, STARING at me as I step out of the shower. It's hard not to feel slightly violated in my nakedness! :D
