winter at the lake

Instead of whining about This Endless Winter We’re Having, I took advantage of the brilliant sunshine and my freshly-unemployed status and headed for the beach with my camera and the polarizing filter. I needed to get away from heaters and breathe fresh air!

There weren’t many people by the lake, just lots and lots of birds: seagulls, geese, ducks, and even a few swans.

Set up a site like this, I mean:

The “Blog” of “Unnecessary” Quotation Marks

Hilarious, and one of my pet peeves! The same goes for air quotes done in the same manner. I’m sure everyone knows someone who does it. People are far too liberal with apostrophes, quotation marks, and even exclamation marks. What’s with the overpunctuation, people?

I came across that site via another funny website called Passive Aggressive Notes, which I found long ago but haven’t ’til now added to my RSS reader.
