Reluctant Bedfellows
|
Category: Critters + Creatures, Xena & Beano
Beano was there first, and to my amazement Xena actually deigned to lie beside him.
A new milestone today: I injected Beano BY MYSELF, for the first time, completely unassisted! Kate’s been helping me for the past couple of weeks by holding him while I did the injections, but this morning I told her I would try and do it alone and call her if I needed backup. I’ve finally worked up to the point where I can hold him, inject him, get the line drip going, continue to hold him, and finish up without the aid of a second pair of hands.
Hurrah!

There goes the stress from Beano. He has it made. But how about you Gail. How are you holding out with all the injecting?

Good for you! That’s great progress.

That’s excellent! He must have reached a sweetspot comfort level with you, or been having a particularly good day
Congrats to you and Beano

Thank you, all!
Helma: the injections are on par with cleaning the litterbox: not particularly pleasant but it comes with the territory. I’m getting better at inserting the needle, but man, it takes a lot of practice. You can practice with fruit, but it’s not the same as puncturing through cat skin, let me tell you.
