Today was my initiation to the outdoor gear store paradise that is Bass Pro Shop, which is all over the eastern United States, with a few outlets scattered around the west. Apparently this is the only one in Canada.

It is ENORMOUS and built like a hunting and fishing lodge, with an aquarium-sized fish tank and taxidermy animals everywhere. They even have a floatplane hanging from the ceiling!

It’s like I left Toronto and landed in the Red Green Show.

  2. Haha! So did David, he would’ve had a field (Fielding?) day in this store.

He even had DVDs of the show, but I have never actually watched an entire episode of the show, I only know about it.

Here is my contribution on Duct Tape.

I can fix almost everything. Where is the Duct Tape? I just love that one. It is so ME.

  5. Duct tape rules!

  6. We love the red green show too. It’s the motto, I spose.

  7. I actually saw a guy wandering down the street yesterday in Saskatoon carrying a roll of duct tape… perhaps fixing his car?

  8. I was once on set for the Red Green show, when they moved it to London for a few months of shooting. Your title really resonated with me, as I actually opened a door and kind of just stumbled onto the set! I had returned to visit a previous employer which had a large television soundstage which just happened to be rented out to the production. Later I got Red’s autograph for my cousin’s cousin, and in true Canadian fashion, he wrote “Keep your stick on the ice”! : )
