  2. The Morning Routine

    February 28, 2008 by Gail

In the morning when I get ready for work, I head for the bathroom and close the door behind me. Sometimes, if I don’t shut it properly, I have immediate company — a little furry guy in a tuxedo rushes to join me…

    good morning!

    …then hogs the sink:

    * * * * * *

I’m sorry to say I have been rather preoccupied lately with issues of livelihood, to the point where it’s completely cut into my Fun Time spent taking photographs and writing stories and exploring new territories. I know, even the cats are perturbed about this situation since they’re missing out on cuddles. Must rectify, yes, and hopefully make a speedy return to our regularly-scheduled program of a balanced life.

  3. Violin Virtuoso

    February 26, 2008 by Gail

As seen during my commute yesterday morning, via the Best of YouTube podcast on my iPod Touch. Wow. Talk about blowing away the competition; that’s a hard act to follow!

A few goofy photos from Sunday’s gathering. I’ve got a few more goofy photos to be processed later.

And Rosie, the British Sweetheart (also the Birthday Girl recovering from birthday drinks the previous evening):

  6. Let The Games Begin!

    February 24, 2008 by Gail

    Let the games begin!

I hosted a big Sunday brunch and board games at my place today. It’s the first time I have ever used both extension leaves in the table — there was a record 14 people around the table at one point! I ended up borrowing chairs from both neighbours.

Eating took place over about 4 or 5 hours, the games went all afternoon. Then a bunch stayed for dinner — I cooked curries and we had some leftovers from the brunch. Eating went from 11:00am to after 9:30pm, when the last of the guests went home!

    Good times, good times…

  7. Toronto Subway Dance Party

    February 24, 2008 by Gail

I heard about this Improv Everywhere event that took place yesterday, but I don’t usually use the subway on the weekends. Check out the story and links in David Topper’s post in Torontoist:

  8. Busted!

    February 23, 2008 by Gail

For the first time since I adopted the Caster kids seven weeks ago, I caught Beano stealing a drink on camera.

    busted!

    busted!

    Hey!

    But wait, it gets better:

  9. * groan *

As seen last Monday in the frozen food section of the grocery store, taken with my cameraphone. Kinda reminds me of this photo I took while food shopping in Scranton. David was a big fan of the pun.

I’m feeling the effects of a food coma following a big meal at a Thai restaurant very late in the evening. Alas, no photos (I was feeling rather self-conscious taking out the DSLR in a small place) so I’m posting this one from earlier this week.

  10. If Looks Could Kill

    February 21, 2008 by Gail

I’d be deader than a doornail right now. Beano’s shooting daggers at me.

if Beano could talk, he'd be swearing at me right now

Absolutely REFUSED to be injected tonight. Squirmed, tried to take off, wouldn’t let the needle go in at all. Finally, I had to give up. He went hiding in the cupboard.

I’m going to have to change my strategy: it’s time to try some smaller gauge needles. Wish me luck!
