There’s an online charity auction taking place at work and today, only four days before the close of the auction, there is a new item that my boss alerted me to: a ONE-HOUR flight in a Durham police helicopter for two people. They also threw in a Durham Police baseball cap.
How much do I want to win this?!?! Well, I’d tell you but I’m keeping it hush-hush because I WANT TO WIN! I love helicopters! There are only a few bids now, but there will be a flurry of activity on Friday when the auction closes and I’m thinking of asking a few people to bid for me in case other bidders are faster with their mouse than I am. (Heaven forbid if our computers or the network goes down then, too.)
Did I mention I WANT TO WIN? I’m such a nerd in the office — NOBODY else is interested in this except for me. But I don’t mind, fewer people to bid against me! I’m watching that auction like a hawk. Wish me luck!

The auction is over on Friday at noon, they announce the winners online shortly after that.
There was some action today for this item, I think it’s going to be a bidding war on Friday
