industrial rivieria

A pic I took down at the waterfront on Sunday. My first impression was of how incongruous it looked, those yellow umbrellas set in concrete to shelter tourists with their umbrella drinks, set against a backdrop of an industrial aesthetic that is the Canada Malting Company. What an attractive Toronto postcard that would be.

    I can place the Canada Malting silos, but can’t picture where the umbrellas are……

  2. They’re pretty new, so you may not have noticed them. They’re right across the water from the Inukshuk and where the kayaks are tied up. I think the Marine Station is right there, too.
