  1. It’s All About the Food Around Here

    *insert tummy grumble here*

    I’ve had an interesting and mellow weekend with some things cooking (that don’t happen to be food) which I can’t divulge quite yet, so I thought I would post a food picture placeholder instead.

    I squeezed in a dinner at Guu on Thurlow Street in Vancouver with Eliza and Kristin before heading to the airport last Monday night for my red-eye to Toronto. Deee-LISH! Because what trip to Vancouver would be complete without at least ONE izakaya meal?

    I need to find the Toronto equivalent of Vancouver’s Guu restaurant triumvirate. I really miss that restaurant.

  2. Vegetarian Haven

    This restaurant on Baldwin Street at McCaul is fabulous! I didn’t think the camera could focus at all, though, the lighting was so dim.

    I don’t know the proper name for this dish, but it was INCREDIBLY tasty. In fact, everything we had at this restaurant was delicious — even the vegan strawberry rhubarb pie! I highly recommend trying this place out if you’re in town.
