Today was my Category 3 Medical to obtain my student pilot permit.
The good news:
The one thing I was concerned about — my vision — did not prevent me from passing the medical.
My blood pressure registers as back to normal levels, after a protracted period of being too high on my last two exams, in Oct ’05 and Jun ’06. No doubt this was due to extreme stress/anxiety, which has been chronicled here.
The bad news:
The heart murmur that was found in October 2005 during my U.S. Immigration Medical Exam, the same murmur that everyone told me was common and nothing to worry about, might prevent me from passing my aviation medical.
