Lackawanna State Park
Near the fishing spot where she and Hermann spent a lot of time.
Tonight was my first peer-to-peer session through Bereaved Families of Ontario. It was more than two hours, and left me feeling totally spent. I can barely string together a sentence.
So I leave you with this photo of Helma, who takes care of me when I’m in Pennsylvania and is more like family than friend. I don’t know where I’d be without her, these days.
Thank you, Helma, for coming to the hospice when you only just said goodbye to Hermann.
Thank you for being there for David. Even though he couldn’t talk or see, he knew you were there. I could tell.
And last but not least, thank you for being there for me.
