I FINALLY found the photos from October 1st. (My archive system back then was a bit rough around the edges, as I’d just bought my PowerBook one week before and it was my first foray into the Mac world, including iPhoto. But when in doubt, KEEP EVERYTHING.)
Mr. Bashful, indeed.
I had printed this photo with my portable printer at the time for David to keep, because it was my very first picture of him. He’d explained to me the difference between a “pilot” and an “aviator”, and as you can see here David was most definitely an aviator. Not just because of the garb, but I’m convinced he’d owned — or at least read — every book on aviation ever printed.
