Dusseldorf

My time in NL has sadly run out, it’s back to Germany. This time, several trains instead of flying: Eindhoven to Cologne, with connections via Venlo and Munchengladbach.

Michael (who I first met in New Zealand in 1993 and visited me in Vancouver in November 1998) picked me up in Cologne and we drove to Dusseldorf, where we were meeting his friend for the day.

I took buckets of both digital and film photos in Dusseldorf, but the one above is one of my favourites thus far.

On Friday, I took a train from Rotterdam to Eindhoven, where I was met at the station by the Stevens family. David designed the logo for Frank’s RC flying club eight years ago, and visited them in 2001. A few photos for now, I’ll add video and text later.

Bente the Bouvier

This is one of my favourite photos from my stay in Soerendonk — it’s Bente the Bouvier (Belgian sheepdog), the family pet.

Breigh and I continued geeking well into the afternoon on Thursday, printing out photos and ignoring the time. We dragged ourselves away, finally, to meet Xander in the city centre for a meal in an Italian restaurant perfect for people-watching — a stand-alone building with glass on three sides. Fashion faux pas was easily spotted from our vantage point in the corner!
