07 Mar 2006 For the Parents

I read Flagrant Disregard‘s blog because he’s:

a) a fantastic photographer
b) the same age (but with kids)
c) a purveyor of funny lines, especially about being a father.

John’s most recent post, Kids have no idea how good they’ve got it, is a good example of c). His mention of ‘living on a prayer’ sent my brain back to a place it hasn’t been for 20 years! :-o

Oh, and he’s also the creator of those nifty Flickr Toys. Go check him out!

I’m generally reluctant to jump on the upgrade bandwagon until the bugs have been ironed out, especially when a techie like Java Jive writes about having some problems. But I rationalised that:

a) major bugs will be discovered in a month
b) Brandon’s in Indonesia, where the internet isn’t nearly as revered and people must be infinitely more patient
c) his ISP doesn’t use Fantastico (I use Bluehost.com, which has WordPress pre-installed)

So, I went for it… I think I might’ve even shut my eyes while I clicked on the upgrade button. { continue reading… }
