What?? How can a person be lost for 400kms, PLUS attempt to cross an international border when obviously destination is in the same country?? (Hand grenade notwithstanding.)

How does one accidentally have a grenade in their glove compartment?
In my glove compartment, there might be a pen, 3 pens with no ink (that I always grab before the other pen), a writing tablet, registration, and maybe a few car service receipts.
Not a single grenade.
